Students experience
“Olá! I never wanted to graduate without
participating in the Eresmus programme. I decided that taking part in the
internship mobility will be the best option, because this year is my last year
at the university, and I could move more comfortably abroad withoutr having
clesses in the new semester. Right after my graduation, I started researching
and writing to companies, thinking that it would be nice to get some experience
from Europe. Population, industry, natural beauty made Portugal one of the most
desirable countries in Europe for me. At this time, I saw Anicolor, which
processes aluminium and is one of the leading companies in this field in
Portugal. In my application, I was informed that they had set up a new
production line and that I could work here and learn a lot more about this
sector. After receiving the acceptance letter, I came to Aveiro, Portugal with
great excitement and my adventure started. In two months, I have aperienced many
things in the factory, I have leamed important things such as installing new
machines, adjusting, errors that may occur, making important calculations in
derawing programs. It was very enjoyable and important for me to be with people
who speak different languages in e very far place from the country where I
live, both in business and in sacial life, and to have such a great experience.
I established contacts from different countries and expanded my social circle.
I would like to thank the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University International
Relations office and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency for
providing me with this opportunity to learn many things.”
“Erasmus is a wonderful experience that
everyone should have once in their life. I am very happy that I was able to get
this advantage and bring these 5 months experience into my life. It was a huge
responsibility for me because I have never lived that far from home. I had to
handle everything myself. The first five days of my Erasmus were though because
of mandatory quarantine but after that I started to meet new people from other
countries and every day started to get better. Mutual lessons were also good
opportunity to meet people and help each other. We were talking about our
cultural differences and similarities. Talking with someone who has different
culture certainly added new perspectives to me. We had enough time to share our
cultures to each other because of Covid-19 measures. We were in a dorm for
almost two months where mostly Erasmus students live. After two months of the
beginning of my Erasmus, we started to discover Czech culture and Brno, to meet
Czech people. Brno is a small and cozy town. Most of the population of Brno is
students. That is why we were going to other universities together to join
parties and meet new Erasmus students. While we were introducing our culture in
the best possible ways, we were learning a lot of new things from foreign
students. After the final exams, we started to go to other countries to see more
different places and cultures. In short, it was an experience which I did not
want ever to end”
